This win marked his 21st straight victory at ATP 500 tournaments since last year’s Beijing Open and set him up for a potential fifth title in a row in the Chinese capital.

He notched his 56th win of the season and seemed to be in top form, especially after overcoming a slower beginning. Here’s what he had to say about his performance:
“I liked how I competed against a tricky rival, especially after a slower start. My first serve worked well, and I have to improve the second a bit. We have worked on a couple of things in my game after the US Open, and I’m happy with the progress,” Jannik Sinner shared.
One of the key factors in Sinner’s victory was his reliable first serve. He saved four out of five break points and pressured Jarry from the second set onwards. On the other hand, Jarry struggled with his second serve, winning only five points and allowing Sinner to break him four times from eight opportunities.
