Hey there, fellow tennis enthusiasts It’s your girl Mia Johnson-Carter here, living the dream in Miami. Today, I’m super excited to dive into some fascinating golf news that has caught my attention lately. While tennis is my passion, it’s always interesting to see how other sports can inspire us with their determination and skill. Let’s talk about Charley Hull, who recently made waves in the golf world by winning the Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF – Riyadh.

Charley Hull, a 28-year-old from Kettering, England, has been knocking on the door to success in golf. Her recent victory in the Aramco Team Series marked her fifth title on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and adds to her impressive palmarès, which also includes two successes on the LPGA Tour where she plays preferentially. This win was particularly notable as she recovered from second place in the final round with a stunning 66 (-6) for a total of 198 (-18) strokes, leaving Nicole Broch Estrup and Pia Babnik in her wake.
The event, held at the Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia, saw Hull face stiff competition. She was closely followed by Nicole Broch Estrup, who finished second with 201 (-15), and Pia Babnik, who trailed behind with 203 (-13). Other notable competitors included Anne Van Dam, Fatima Fernandez Cano, and Helen Briem, all of whom finished within the top five.
In addition to her individual success, Hull also played a crucial role in her team’s victory. The quartet of Chiara Tamburlini, Anne-Charlotte Mora, Mimi Rhodes, and Tenniel Chu won the team competition with an impressive 245 (-43) strokes. This win saw them take home $30,000 each, while Hull herself was rewarded with $75,000 for her individual victory.
The Aramco Team Series has been a highlight of the Ladies European Tour this season, with $1 million up for grabs across all events. It’s clear that Charley Hull’s win has set a high bar for future competitors.
